I have decided!
I really really really want the guitar!
So, I am gonna work! Right this moment.
However, the only thing stopping me now is that there are no jobs available for me.
I have asked my friend to scout for a job for me, so that at least I can start saving towards the guitar.
Everyone reading this, if you got jobs with ULTRA good money, PLEASE tell me!
Remember what they teach in the 40day fast booklet!
Bless the poor! HAHA.
Speaking of poor, anyone that is convicted to buy me the guitar, you can!
I want a black one, or the autumn finish
Must be made in Nashville.
Model is Gibson Les Paul Supreme.
Swee Lee has the Autumn one. =D
It costs S$9,000++ in the Aljunid SweeLee.
And, send it to my home address. =D
Anyway, I need to clear some debts too.
I owe my brother 70 bucks,James 30 bucks.
Thats a hundred bucks.
Ok. But I'm on my way there. Working with isaac now on a project that actually will pay us! YAY!
Every dollar is a dollar closer!
Veering from the main topic, I am going to tell you about my adventure today!
I set aside today to be a day that I guitar hunt.
I went to the four corners of the world today just to see Gibson guitars, and feed my desperation. (Now you see the despo side of this)
Anyway, my first stop was Aljunid sweelee.
That is the factory outlet. It took me really long to find the place.
First, I took 51 to geylang.(To look for the store)
Then the bus uncle told me to stop at this stop.
To cut the long story short, that stop was not the stop.
I had to walk for another 25minutes beore I reached the outlet.
Anyway, I got lost along the way, so I called my dad and he guided me.
Finally I saw the building and entered the shop where guitar scent was everywhere...
I saw the glass showroom thing where only rich people could step inside.
I slammed my face against the glass, and there I saw the guitar of my dreams!
A Gibson Autumn burst Les Paul Supreme.
It was a masterpiece. I was drooling. (Not literally)
Then I looked around at the epiphones. The section which I actually can touch the guitars. While I was there, I was carrying my bag, and I think the guys thought I was going to steal some stuff.
I mean I would have if my bag could fit a Les Paul Supreme in it, but no.
So, I tried some guitars and left, depressed.
By the way, I was doing this travelling all by myself. So I couldn't share my views with anyone but myself.
Then stop two was SweeLee Bras Basah! I went there and the glass-out-of-bounce showroom was so un-showable. I couldnt even see the models of the guitars.
I asked about importing a Les Paul Supreme (as if I had the money to buy) and they said it would take 3months. That is one third of the time you wait for babies to pop out. That is long.
But, They have one that is a collector's edition. 13K.
Who would spend 13K on some collectable.
I wouldnt. I want to get guitars to play them. Not collect them.
So I bought a loose D-string for the youth room guitar, and I left the place, even more sad.
While doing all these, I was constantly praying that God will send someone to have compassion on me, and give me a Les Paul Supreme just like that. (Possible, but it did not happen).
Third stop, I went to Paradiz/Peace centre. Went to City music at first to repair my Pocket POD, but it turn out that there was nothing wrong. Then I ate this kebab thingy. It was gooooood. Really. I think some european people were making these things. Then I went to Guitar Gallery in Paradiz, but the uncle was quite unfriendly. Well, it doesnt matter anyway. The shop only has 3 Gibson electric guitars. Only one of them caught my eye. But oh well. The size of the shop is the size of my room. Pathetic.
Walking out of paradiz, I realise that I missed a stop.
PENINSULA PLAZA! I read about this shop that sells 2nd hand guitars, and once they sold a Les Paul Supreme for less than a thousand! That is dirt cheap man!
So I hurried down and since it was raining, I couldnt really run.
I reached there and looked around, but saw nothing. Only some old Gibson guitars.
Not much. Then I asked the sales person and he told me that that was last year, and it has already been sold.
Argh! 1K Supreme? Fairy Tale!
Loitering around peni, I had no where to go.
My search has ended. Many gibsons have I seen, none could I buy.
I then drafted a route to go back home.
I had no where else to go, but home. I took the bus, but somehow I ended up in church. I went to church to restring the classical string that I snapped oh so long ago. Then, looking around and seeing that there is nothing else, I headed back home, and that marked the end of my journey.
Now, I am just left with memories of guitars I have seen today.
Well, I am just hoping and praying now that God will send a Les Paul Supreme... Somehow...
Ok. I know the story of my day didnt end on a happy note, but I think I am good. Still would love a Gibson Les Paul Supreme though =D
Let's rock IT ; 12:08 AM ;
